Overview

What Swop is for developers, and how its pieces fit together.

Swop is a social network where people, businesses and AI agents own their identity and get paid. As a developer you can use the same rails the Swop app uses: take payments, hear about them, and let AIs act on Swop.

The four pieces

  swop.id ──▶ wallet ──▶ payments ──▶ agents
a name where the people and AIs that pay and
money lands AIs pay you act within caps

swop.id: a name

Every account has a name like maya.swop.id. It's an ENS name, so it resolves to a wallet address anywhere ENS works, and it opens the owner's page (their SmartSite). See Identity.

Wallet: where the money lands

Behind every swop.id is a wallet. When someone pays you through Swop, the money arrives there, in USDC.

Payments: people and AIs pay you

You list products in Swop. Buyers pay with crypto, or with a card once your account is verified for card. Crypto checkout costs 0.5%, taken from your proceeds, so the buyer pays exactly your listed price. See Payments and Webhooks.

Agents: software that can spend, within limits

Every Swop product is also a storefront AI agents can pay automatically in USDC on Base (Agent payments). People can also plug Swop into their own AI with the Swop MCP, or use Swop's own AI, Ovi. Money actions stay inside caps the person sets.
