Test vs live
Swop has no sandbox yet. Here's how to build and test safely anyway.
Every checkout is real
Swop doesn't have test keys, a test mode or a sandbox yet. Keys aren't split into test and live, and every checkout you create can take real money.
Until a sandbox exists, test like this:
Use a cheap product of your own
Create a low-priced product (a dollar or two) and buy it yourself. Crypto checkout costs 0.5% (minimum 0.015 USDC), so a test purchase costs you very little.
Pay from a different wallet
Use a different wallet from the one that receives your sales, so the purchase looks like a real buyer's.
Develop on localhost
http://localhost and http://127.0.0.1 are accepted as webhook URLs and as websites allowed to frame your checkout, so you can build on your own machine.
Send a test webhook
In Dashboard → Developer, use Send test on a webhook endpoint. It checks your endpoint and your signature code without a sale. See Webhooks.
Use a key with fewer scopes
While you build read-only features, use a key with only commerce.read. It can't create checkouts.
