Swop RPC overview

One endpoint per network for reading and writing to Ethereum, Base, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Robinhood Chain and Solana.

Preview: Swop RPC is not generally available

The gateway at rpc.swopme.co is running, but it routes to third-party node providers today: Swop's own node fleet is still being built. Projects are created for preview partners only, and limits and pricing can change. Request access.

What's an RPC?

Every app that touches a blockchain needs a way to talk to it: read a balance, look up a transaction, send a signed transaction. That conversation goes through an RPC endpoint, a URL that speaks the chain's JSON-RPC protocol and is backed by a node that has a copy of the chain.

Running nodes yourself is expensive, so most apps rent RPC from a provider. Swop RPC is Swop's own gateway: one URL pattern for every supported chain, with per-project keys, rate limits and usage metering. It's the same gateway Swop's own apps are moving onto.

How it works

https://rpc.swopme.co/<network>/v3/<projectId>
  • <network> picks the chain (see below).
  • <projectId> identifies your project: its limits, its metering and, if it requires one, its secret.
  • The gateway forwards your request to a healthy upstream node and retries on another one if a node fails.
  • The same path accepts WebSocket connections (wss://) for subscriptions.
