There's no refund endpoint for merchant API keys yet. Refunds are issued from the Swop app today. This page will document the API once it exists.
What you can do today
- Issue refunds in the Swop app from the order.
- See the result through the API. A refunded checkout shows
status: "refunding"and then"refunded"onGET /checkout-intents/{intentId}, and the order'spayment.statusbecomesrefunded. - Tell buyers the truth. If a payment arrived but something after it failed (
conversion_failed,settlement_failed), Swop has the money, and support will either complete the order or refund it.
